  • Radio City Music Hall is an iconic New York performance venue located in the heart of Rockefeller Center, in Midtown, Manhattan. The building sits at the corner of 6th Avenue and 50th Street.
  • Radio City Music Hall opened on December 27, 1932, alongside major American stars of the era. The venue quickly earned the nickname “Showplace of the Nation”—a title it still holds today.
  • Through the mid-1960s, Radio City Music Hall hosted concerts, musicals, and film screenings. As new venues emerged across New York, the hall began to decline. By 1978, it filed for bankruptcy and announced its closure.
  • Not for long. Radio City Music Hall was designated a New York City landmark, and developers proposed a major renovation project. The venue reopened to the public in 1980 with a revitalized schedule. Shows and audiences returned.
  • Today, Radio City Music Hall is operated by Madison Square Garden Company, the same organization that runs Madison Square Garden. The legendary New York venue has reclaimed its prestige.
