Shared Shuttle Information

  • As of January 1, 2024, we have suspended shared shuttle reservations between New York airports and Manhattan. Here’s why:
  • Service quality has declined significantly, with frequent delays and long wait times due to a shortage of shuttles and drivers.
  • Prices have more than doubled since the pandemic and now match private car transfers, which maintain excellent service standards. For the price of a shared shuttle, booking a private car transfer between New York airports and Manhattan makes much more sense.

What is a shared shuttle transfer?

  • Shared shuttles are vans that run throughout the day between New York airports and Manhattan hotels. Please note: this service currently operates until 8 pm, seven days a week, from New York JFK airport only. You must clear immigration and contact the transfer company before 8 pm. We are not responsible for transfers that do not take place after 8 pm.
  • The shuttle is “shared” because each van holds up to 11 passengers with their luggage. The shuttle drops each passenger directly at their hotel—door-to-door service from the airport to your hotel.

How to book a shared shuttle to your hotel

  • Before your flight, reserve your transfer through our shared shuttle booking system. Select your transfer date, number of passengers, and New York arrival airport. That’s it. Once payment is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a voucher to print. No reconfirmation needed.
  • After you land and collect your baggage, follow the “Ground Transportation” signs to the Ground Transportation counter. It’s clearly marked. Show your printed voucher to an agent, or display it on your phone. You’ll be assigned to the next available shuttle.
  • Your shuttle driver will meet you at the Ground Transportation counter and guide you to the van. They’ll take your voucher, and you’re ready to board. The ride to Manhattan takes about 45 minutes. Along the way, you’ll enjoy views of the New York skyline as you approach the city.
  • The price includes the transfer and taxes. Plan on $2–3 per person for a tip, depending on your satisfaction.
