- For stunning views of the Financial District and the Brooklyn Bridge, Pier 1 is one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn.
- This pier sits on the East River, right at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge, directly across from Manhattan. The views of the skyline are unbeatable. The wooden pier has been beautifully restored and is now part of Brooklyn Bridge Park.
- You’ll see One World Trade Center, the Gehry New York tower with its distinctive curved facade, and the Brooklyn Bridge. Watch the constant activity on the East River—ferries and boats passing by add to the scene.
- Visit Pier 1 in the morning when the sun lights up the Financial District buildings and the bridge. Come back at sunset and again at night—both are equally spectacular. Afterward, walk across the Brooklyn Bridge for an unforgettable stroll.
- The neighborhood has plenty of dining options, including a burger spot right across the way. In summer, grab ice cream on the pier.
