- Brooklyn Bridge Park sits at the eastern tip of Brooklyn. The first section opened in March 2010, with plans to expand along both sides of the Brooklyn Bridge and the East River. The final phase opened in summer 2013 around the Manhattan Bridge.
- Brooklyn Bridge Park offers one of the best vantage points at the mouth of the East River. It’s a favorite spot for photographers: come in the morning for sweeping views of Manhattan’s skyline, and in the evening to watch the sunset light up the buildings.

What to See in Brooklyn Bridge Park
- From Brooklyn Bridge Park, you get stunning views across the East River to Manhattan. You’ll see the rebuilt World Trade Center, the elegant Woolworth Building, and the austere rectangular tower of the Chase Manhattan Bank. The quirky architecture of 8 Spruce Street stands out—a building that looks like it’s dancing.
- Head south through the park for views of New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty in the distance. Watch the Staten Island ferries come and go—photographers will find plenty of composition opportunities.
- From the northern section, you can see Midtown and the Empire State Building. Brooklyn Bridge Park gives you some of the best perspectives on New York.
