You keep running from a visit to a tour ? So here are the good and cheap places where you will be able to eat on the go or enjoy something sweet. In New York City, you will also find french bakeries !
Located on East Houston Street, Remedy Diner is a traditionnal diner. Enjoy french toasts and eggs, pasta, fish. If you like american dessert, try their famous banana split : strawberry scoop, chocolate scoop, vanilla scoop, banana, whipped cream and chocolate sauce.
Located in the the heart of Financial District, next to Wall Street, Pearl Diner is an old fashioned diner. The menu is truly american with eggs and omelettes, homemade soup, salads, sandwiches, burgers, stuffed baked potatoes, pancakes... Go back to the 50's with these original posters from the good old days!
Opened since 1888 on Houston Street, Katz's is the oldest delicatessen in New York ! Enjoy their famous sandwich with smoked meat and pickles. Try also to recognize all the celebrities who have visited Katz's, included Bill Clinton himself!
The first Pongsri Thai Restaurant opened in 1972 in the heart of Chinatown. Twenty some odd years later, Pongsri has now 3 different locations in Manhattan. Enjoy authentic Thai cuisine ! Good to know : few years ago, Pongsri catered to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the queen of Thailand !
Founded in 1925, Lexington Candy Shop has never changed ! Ask for your hamburger with french fries. And don't forget the ketchup !
