Located in Long Island City, a few steps away from Gantry Plaza State Park, Tournesol is a "bistro français", a french "bistro". You will find all the traditional recipes you can find in a parisien "bistro" : "croque-monsieur", oignon soup and "quiche lorraine". You can also order the Hamburger Tournesol: the United States are not so far!
After 6 years as executive pastry chef at Daniel, Daniel Boulud’s flagship French restaurant in New York City, Dominique Ansel opened his own bakery in 2011, Dominique Ansel Bakery. The french chef is know for the creation of the Cronut, a delicious croissant and doughnut hybrid.

Queen of Sheba

Queen of Sheba is an Ethiopian eatery located on the corner of 10th Avenue and 46th Street, just a few blocks away from Times Square. The chef, Philipos Mengistu, moved to the United States in 1990, with the idea of introducing New York City to Ethiopian food. As he scouted locations and saved money for his first business in the US, he worked as an aircraft technician for Ethiopian Airways and a Yellow Cab driver. He launched this restaurant in 1999 and named it to celebrate the legend of Queen of Sheba and King Solomon.

Foxy John’s

A few steps away from Grand Central Terminal and the Chrysler building, Foxy John's opened in 2015 in Midtown Manhattan, inspired by irish pubs and traditionnal American bars. So you can both have a drink and eat a dish, including tacos or burgers. Foxy John's also proposes live music on saturdays.
