The Story of The Outsiders
- The Outsiders takes you to the small town of Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the late 1960s. The story tells of clashes between two rival gangs. On one side, the “Greasers,” young people from the working class. On the other, the “Socs,” from the middle class.
- You’ll meet Ponyboy Curtis, a 14-year-old boy from humble origins. One day, he has a bad encounter and is attacked by several Socs members, who leave him on the ground, unconscious. Rescued by Greasers who happened to be passing by, Ponyboy becomes a member of the Greasers himself.
- The Outsiders received 4 Tony Awards in 2024: Best Musical, Best Direction, Best Lighting, and Best Sound. The lead actor, Brody Grant, also won the Best Actor trophy at the 2024 Theatre World Awards.
