The Story of Maybe Happy Ending

• The musical takes you to Seoul, the capital of South Korea, at the end of the 21st century. Robots have made incredible advances, but progress has left Oliver and Claire behind—two outdated robots from an earlier generation. They’re now obsolete, living in their tiny apartment, isolated from the rest of society.
• One day, Claire knocks on Oliver’s door to borrow a charger. Oliver is suspicious and far from welcoming: as a Helperbot-5 robot, he’s not thrilled about Claire’s generation of Helperbot-6 robots. But as Claire’s battery drains, something sparks inside Oliver!
• Maybe Happy Ending launched on Broadway in October 2024 and is one of the biggest revelations in recent years. The various productions have won numerous awards, including the prestigious Richard Rodgers Award for Best Musical in 2017.
• The story was adapted into a film in 2023 under the title My Favorite Love Story. And it was immediately acclaimed by critics!
