This 15-minute helicopter flight departs from Downtown Heliport, located at the southern tip of Manhattan. It’s the best-selling tour among all helicopter flights featured on our helicopter tours in New York page.
The helicopter flies toward Governors Island and circles slowly over the Statue of Liberty. An unforgettable moment. You’ll also enjoy spectacular views of New York Harbor and the Manhattan skyline.
The helicopter then heads up the Hudson River, giving you a stunning close-up view of the World Trade Center and One World Trade Center.
The route passes over Greenwich Village, SoHo, Meatpacking District, Chelsea, and Midtown, including the Theater District and Times Square. You’ll also see sweeping views of the Empire State Building, Summit One Vanderbilt, and the Chrysler Building.
Next, Central Park and the Upper West Side come into view. The helicopter turns around at the midpoint of Central Park and heads back to the heliport. The finale is spectacular, with a landing facing the towers of the Financial District and One World Trade Center.

Flights run year-round, Monday to Saturday, from 10 am to 4:30 pm. Note: demand far exceeds the number of available flights, so book as early as possible. Helicopter tours over New York are not permitted on Sundays, and the city has also limited the total number of annual flights.

Arrive at least 30 minutes before your flight for check-in. Since September 2025, all passengers—adults and children—must present a valid passport to board. Without a passport, you cannot fly. It’s the same as boarding an airplane.
Good to know: You can cancel your flight if you request it at least 24 hours before your scheduled date. A €10 cancellation fee and bank charges will apply.
