Experience New York’s Most Outrageous Bathrooms!
At this New York bar, the bathrooms offer an unforgettable surprise! Here's a must-visit address you won't forget…

Want to see something completely wild in New York and have a good laugh? Head to the restroom at the bar of the Standard Hotel, the luxury hotel that straddles the High Line in the Meatpacking District.
You don’t need to be a hotel guest: just grab a drink at Top of The Standard, the bar on the hotel’s top floor, then make your way to the restroom. The Standard offers an incredible bathroom with panoramic views over New York. From your seat, you can take care of business while gazing at the High Line below, the Financial District skyline, One World Trade Center, the Hudson River, and New Jersey in the distance. The views are stunning.
Not one-way glass
There’s a catch, though. Unlike what most guests assume, the bathroom windows are not one-way glass. You can see out, but people outside can see in just as clearly. That changes things—quite a bit, actually.
From the south end of the High Line and the terraces of the Whitney Museum of American Art, which now faces the Standard Hotel, you can clearly make out the silhouettes of people using the bar’s restroom.
The same goes for the hotel rooms: you can distinctly see guests moving around in their rooms in various states of undress or none at all. Around the Standard Hotel and the Whitney Museum, it’s not uncommon to spot photographers with telephoto lenses ready to capture the moment. New York really is a crazy city! 🙂
