Where is the South Street Seaport ice rink?
- The South Street Seaport ice rink is a seasonal rink that opens each winter on the banks of the East River. It’s the largest ice rink in the Financial District. The rink operates from late November through mid-March.
- Depending on the year, the rink is located either between Pier 17 and Pier 18, the two main piers of the port, or on top of the shopping center. Either way, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the Financial District skyline. It complements the Rockefeller Center ice rink and the Central Park ice rink.
Practical information
- You can rent skates on site. Prices vary by season: $23 on weekdays and $26 on weekends. During peak season, prices rise to $35. If you prefer, you can purchase a package that includes admission, skates, and a glass of champagne from a premium French brand for $41 during off-peak season or $50 during peak season.
- Opening hours change almost daily. The rink opens at either 10 am or 3 pm and closes at 10 pm or 11 pm.

Getting to Pier 17
The rooftop entrance is on the south side of the shopping center, away from the Brooklyn Bridge. Take the escalators up to the roof. Note that bags are not allowed on the ice. You can store them in a locker for $11.
