About Gulliver’s Gate

  • Open since May 2017 near Times Square, Gulliver’s Gate was a unique museum dedicated entirely to miniature models.
  • The museum covered more than 4,600 m² (49,500 sq ft) and displayed nearly 1,000 building models, about 100 bridges, and over 200 cars. Everything came to life with surprise animations scattered throughout the space, plus a day-and-night cycle. A true world tour through the eyes of the giant Gulliver!
  • The museum was constantly evolving. A team of about 15 model makers maintained and expanded the different worlds day after day. You could watch their meticulous work and ask them questions.

What to See at Gulliver’s Gate

  • The tour began with the museum’s centerpiece: New York in miniature! The main landmarks and monuments of Manhattan were recreated at a 1:87 scale. You could see the Brooklyn Bridge, One World Trade Center, the planted promenade of the High Line, Times Square, the Chrysler Building, the Guggenheim Museum, and much more!
  • Special mention goes to the Grand Central Terminal model: it featured a cross-section of the station with a unique view of the subway and train networks. It was educational to understand how the station is organized.
  • The tour continued through a room dedicated to different European countries. France, Belgium, and Switzerland were well represented, showing major tourist attractions in miniature. The world tour then took you to Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East.
  • Finally, you ended your journey around an impressive model of an Alaskan airport. Everything here was meticulously reproduced, including takeoff and landing sequences that looked incredibly realistic!
