What to see in the Hamptons
Southampton
- Southampton is a world unto itself. Many celebrities and wealthy New Yorkers have made it their second home. The best way to explore is to wander the streets and discover beautiful estates. For dining or shopping, head to Main Street, which has most of the shops, restaurants, and cafés.
- Near Southampton, you’ll find one of the finest beaches in the United States: Cooper’s Beach. Enjoy miles of white sand, watch surfers and bodyboarders, and take a swim if the water isn’t too cold.

Sag Harbor
- Sag Harbor is a charming village in the northern Hamptons. Walking along the main shopping street, you’ll feel a distinctly New England atmosphere. Like Southampton, explore the side streets to spot dream homes.
- Don’t miss a stroll along the lovely harbor, where fishing boats and luxury yachts mingle.

Montauk
- Montauk is the town at the eastern tip of Long Island. It’s far, very far, but worth the drive. Once a fishing village, it’s now a chic and trendy beach resort that feels more accessible than Southampton or East Hampton.
- Montauk Lighthouse, built in 1797, is the oldest in New York State. Visit its small museum and climb the 137 iron steps for the view.
