What to Know About Legoland New York
- Lego was founded in Denmark in 1932 and remains one of the world’s favorite toy brands. Its success led the company to create Legoland parks—theme parks dedicated entirely to the colorful bricks. The first Legoland opened in Denmark in 1968, followed by many others, including Legoland California, north of San Diego on the US West Coast.
- Since May 2021, the US East Coast has its own Legoland too. Legoland New York Resort brings the world of Lego to life just an hour’s drive from Manhattan.
- The park was developed by British company Merlin Entertainments, which also operates the Tussauds wax museums, including Madame Tussauds in London and Madame Tussauds in New York.
What to See at Legoland New York
- Legoland New York is designed for children, but adults will find plenty to enjoy too. You’ll discover countless Lego creations themed around New York, including a giant model of Manhattan. You can spot the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, and New York’s major landmarks. The detail is remarkably realistic.
- Don’t miss a photo with the Statue of Liberty, built entirely from Lego bricks. These creations were designed specifically for Legoland New York.
- The park features 17 attractions for all ages. Highlights include a Lego pirate ship ride and two roller coasters.
- Through January 1, 2023, the park celebrates the holidays with an event called Holiday Brickatular. Kids can meet Lego Santa, and everyone enjoys special entertainment.
Book Your Tickets to Legoland New York
Skip the line at the entrance by booking your tickets in advance through our Legoland New York ticket reservation. We offer two options:
- You can book park admission only. This ticket gives you unlimited access to all park attractions for a full day. You’ll arrange your own transportation to the park.
- You can also ask us to arrange round-trip bus service from Manhattan. Buses depart from Port Authority Bus Terminal in the heart of Manhattan, near Times Square. Outbound buses leave Port Authority at 9:30 am, 10:30 am, and 11:30 am. Return buses leave Legoland New York at 3:45 pm, 5 pm, and 6:15 pm.
