The Story of Masquerade
- Masquerade presents itself as a brand new interpretation of the Phantom of the Opera, in the form of an immersive show… In other words, the audience experiences the action up close and you will not be confined to the role of spectators sitting in your seat, unlike other Broadway musicals.
- Specifically, spectators are invited to arrive at the theater entrance dressed in either black clothing, white clothing, or silver. Choose your color! Spectators must also wear a Venetian-style mask. If you don’t have a mask, no problem: a mask will be provided at the entrance. Elegant evening attire is recommended but not required. Good to know: capes can be lent to you, subject to availability.
- With your black, white, or silver outfit and your mask, you will then be guided into the lair of the Phantom of the Opera, the famous character invented by French writer Gaston Leroux. The Phantom is actually a man afflicted with a horrible deformity that drives him to hide in the catacombs of the Paris Opera House. Until the voice of a young soprano seduces him…
- Musically, Masquerade features all the great hits from the Phantom of the Opera, composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber. If you’ve already seen the Phantom of the Opera, don’t miss this new version!
