How to watch the US Open in New York for free

Who will win the US Open 2027? You’ll find out soon enough: the 2027 edition of this prestigious Grand Slam tournament runs from August 30 to September 12, 2027 at Flushing Meadows in Queens.
If you want to experience this major tennis event, take advantage of a special offer from the organizers: on September 9, 2027—the tournament’s second Thursday—the US Open courts will be FREE and open to the public. Just show up at the entrance. Flushing Meadows opens at 11 am and matches start at noon, but arrive early: you won’t be alone in wanting to catch the tournament for free!

Doubles Semifinals

You can move between courts to watch men’s, women’s, and doubles matches. You’ll also have the chance to see the men’s and women’s doubles semifinals. Don’t miss the legends tournament semifinals either, featuring former Grand Slam champions in the style of Roland Garros’s “Legends Tournament.”
In the evening, starting at 7 pm, you can watch the women’s semifinals on giant screens throughout the grounds. To enter Arthur Ashe Stadium and watch the women’s semifinals live, however, you’ll need to buy a ticket.
